FR. JON BUFFINGTON–PRIEST AND ICONOGRAPHER

Fr. Jon is an ordained Catholic priest of the Chaldean Church of the East and the Assyrians.  It is one of the 19 Eastern Churches in full union with the Roman Catholic Church.  He has an M.A. in Patristics and Early Church History.  He currently serves in the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon.

Until his recent retirement, he served as a chaplain at Providence Portland Medical Center, Portland, OR.  He currently teaches Iconography at the Trinity Iconography Institute, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Portland, OR, and writes icons for charity and on commission for private clients.
